China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation

China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation (herein after referred to as “CAPIAC”) is a national first-ranking non-profit organization approved by the State Council and registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 1998. Affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture, CAPIAC aims at publicizing and implementing national industrial policies, promoting self-regulation and standardized management of the industry, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members, promoting international and domestic exchange and cooperation in agricultural talents, technology, investment and trade, promoting domestic and international trade in high-quality agricultural products and spreading excellent Chinese culture.

CAPIAC has Comprehensive Department, Exhibition Department, Training Department and Finance Department. The branch organizations of CAPIAC are International Cooperation Committee of Animal Welfare, Tea Industry Committee, Peony Industry Committee, Functional Agriculture Committee, Pet Industry Committee, etc. CAPIAC has also established the largest high-end Think Tank of Agriculture.

In the fields of agricultural policy, talent, technology, investment and trade in China, CAPIAC has the advantages of rich resources and channels. Apart from promoting domestic and international trade in high-quality agricultural products, CAPIAC is also committed to the following areas: providing consulting and training services to international cooperation programs in agriculture and rural affairs; accepting government entrustment and undertaking domestic and international agricultural research projects and the evaluation & demonstration of projects; providing advices and suggestions regarding to the formulation of policies, laws and regulations of relevant agencies; Organizing or participating in the development of relevant industry standards and development plans.

The organizing of conferences, forums, exhibitions and displays is an important approach of CAPIAC in promoting domestic and international agricultural exchange. CAPIAC hosts "World Conference On Farm Animal Welfare", "China International Modern Agriculture Exposition", "China International Tea Industry and Tea Ceremony Exposition", "Beijing International High-Quality Agricultural Products Display & Exchange Meeting" annually. These activities provide excellent display and exchange platforms for domestic and international agricultural products in expanding their presence in the Chinese market.

Currently, CAPIAC has carried out effective exchange and cooperation with relevant organizations in the United States, Britain, Germany, France, France, Italy, Holland, Russia, India, Thailand, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Sri Lanka, Kenya and other countries and regions, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the International Organization for Standardization, Compassion in World Farming, etc.
