Daniela Battaglia

Daniela Battaglia is Livestock Development Officer at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Within the organization, she is responsible for the programme of work on animal welfare and she is coordinator of the Gateway to Animal Welfare (a digital knowledge platform). She is also responsible for the activities in support of animal nutrition and feed safety, as well as antimicrobial resistance; she is also coordinator of the FAO Livestock Technical Network. Daniela, holds an M.Sc. in Agricultural Science and another in Tropical Animal Health and Production. Daniela has worked in several countries: Belgium, UK, Peru, Bolivia, Suriname, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Israel and Tunisia.
