Mike Baker

Mike Baker is Chief Executive Officer of The Donkey Sanctuary, the world’s largest equine charity. He has a long and distinguished career in the animal welfare sector, having been CEO of World Animal Protection and The Brooke, as well as UK Director of International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and President of Eurogroup for Animal Welfare.With more than 20 years’ experience running animal welfare charities and working with donkeys and horses internationally, Mike has in-depth experience of equine related issues. He is working hard to stand up for these down-trodden animals through advocacy, international policy formulation and building a credible evidence base to demonstrate the importance of these animals to the communities that depend on them.
