Hans Spoolder

Dr Hans Spoolder is senior scientist of Wageningen University & Research and EU account manager. Hans is an applied ethologist, specializing in issues related to livestock welfare. He is author or co-author of 40+ peer reviewed papers (H-index: 19), member of the Animal Health and Welfare panel of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). Hans currently is the president of the Health and Welfare commission of the European Association for Animal Production (EAAP). He has experience in managing international R&D projects, and was involved as coordinator, deputy-coordinator or project office manager of several EU funded projects in recent years. Hans is project coordinator of Horizon 2020 Project – HeathyLivestock.
