Lisa Yang

Ms. Lisa Yang Qing is currently pursuing her MSc. in International Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law at the University of Edinburgh in the UK, and has received Master’s degrees in Non-profit organisations and Civil Society Studies at the University of Kent in the UK and in Applied Linguistics at Sichuan University, Chengdu in China. She has ten years of working experience in the NGO sector to raise the awareness of animal welfare to the general public and implement animal welfare practice in captive wildlife industries. She has organised and facilitated different education projects and international exchange programmes to build capacities of veterinarians, animal carers and academia.

Lisa joined Compassion in World Farming in September 2019 as China Research Officer and she aims to support various stakeholders with technical expertise to achieve higher animal welfare, with a focus on poultry and pigs.
