2019 The Awarding Ceremony of “Good Production Award” was Held in Qingdao

         On September 19-20th 2019, “3rd World Conference on Farm Animal Welfare” was held in Qingdao. The conference was jointly co-hosted by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation (CAPIAC). During the conference, the Awarding Ceremony of “Good Production Award” was held.

          For the awarding ceremony, Zhai Huqu, President of China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation, Badi Besbes, Senior Animal Production Officer of FAO and Philip Lymbery, CEO of Compassion in World Farming issued the awards for the winning corporate representatives.

            Zhai Huqu praised the award-winning enterprises highly. He believed that the Chinese award-winning enterprises not only provided a healthy and comfortable growing environment for farm animals, but also satisfied consumers' demand for safe, high-quality and high-welfare products by improving the farm animal production system.

             Fourteen companies, including Beijing Bainianliyuan Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., Henan Nongduoduo Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Eco. S&T Co., Ltd., Chuying Agro. Pastoral Group(Tibet) Co., Ltd., Tangshan DA BEI NONG Pig Breeding Technology Co., Ltd., and Nantong Ovodan Egg Co., Ltd., have been awarded with seventeen awards. Five companies had won Good Chicken Production Award. Eight companies had won Good Pig Production Award and four companies had won Good Egg Production Award.

Awarding Ceremony

           Ningxia Xiaoming Agriculture & Husbandry Co., Ltd., Netherlands Agro & Food Technology Centre, Orient (China) Agrotech Co., Ltd., and Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd., had won the title of “2019 Public Model in Corporate Social Responsibility”.

             2019 “Good Production Award” had been organized by the International Cooperation Committee of Animal Welfare of China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation, reviewed and issued by Compassion in World Farming. The award was set to recognize Chinese producers for their efforts in improving animal welfare, thereby improving food safety and environmental quality. The award had five star rates to encourage continual improvement in welfare-friendly farming.
